The Verdant Group is part of the Kanoria Group. The Verdant Group has been established to set up cutting edge, science and knowledge based agri and food related businesses. The Kanoria Group has wide ranging interests including cement, industrial gases, real estate, venture capital and investments in equity and debt instruments. The Verdant Group at present comprises of Verdant Agro-Horti LLP and Verdant bioAgri LLP.
Verdant Agro-Horti LLP has set up a state-of-the-art mushroom spawn lab
at Bagalkot, Karnataka. This is probably the largest, the most sophisticated
and hygienic spawn lab in India. In addition to growing mushroom spawn, it
will research and develop mushroom and mycelia cultures for exotic &
medicinal mushrooms as well as other applications.
Verdant bioAgri has set up a state-of-the-art tissue culture lab at
Bagalkot, Karnataka, to grow plants from tissue. To start with it will focus
on banana, teak, bamboo, and ornamental plants. It will be one of the largest
in India and will supply to global markets.
Verdant aims to be an India top 5 business in each of the above the sectors
within 3 to 5 years.
